About Us

OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY

i) To bring unity and social upliftment to the tribal community and foster harmony, prosperity, cultural, educational, and other welfare programs for tribal development.

ii) To serve weaker sections of society.

iii) To improve and achieve the living standards of families below the poverty line (BPL) in rural areas by promoting self-employment ventures among unemployed, educated youth, small farmers, marginal farmers, agricultural laborers, rural artisans, and running cooperatives and marketing initiatives.

iv) To plan and undertake projects aimed at improving environmental education, sanitation, health, and hygiene, as well as organizing medical camps.

v) To develop horticulture, agriculture, pisciculture, livestock, and auxiliary industries such as animal husbandry, dairy farming, poultry, piggery, dry fish fermentation, fisheries, mushroom cultivation, organic tea plantations, and medicinal plants.

vi) To work for overall village upliftment in rural areas for the development of people living below the poverty line.

vii) To establish khadi and village industries, handloom and handicrafts, and other small-scale industries to encourage women and unemployed educated youth, creating broader opportunities for self-employment in rural areas.

viii) To solicit, receive, and accept grants from central and state governments, recognized agencies, and NGOs. This includes resources in the form of equipment, vehicles, technical knowledge, donations, subscriptions, securities, endowment titles, and assets. Every kind of assistance is aimed at furthering the society's objectives. Income generated will be utilized for the promotion of TWDS activities.

We, the Tribal Community, resolved to constitute the "TRIBAL WELFARE & DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY" to bring unity among ourselves and provide services to the poor and needy in the tribal backward areas of Arunachal Pradesh and India as a whole.
